On the afternoon of April 10, 2021, Professor Jun Liang of Cardiff University was invited to deliver a speech at the “Online Lecture Hall”, titled Grid Integration of Clean Power & Electrified Transport. This series of online academic lectures were jointly organized by the School of Electrical Engineering of Chongqing University, the State Key Laboratory of Power Transmission Equipment and System Security, and  Chongqing Electrical Engineering Society, and were hosted by Ren Zhouyang, Dean Assistant of the School.

Before the lecture officially started, on behalf of the school, Prof. Ren expressed a warm welcome to Professor Liang's participation in the "Online Lecture Hall" and briefly introduced the main speaker to the audience.

Prof. Liang first introduced the experimental platform of his power electronics and DC transmission and distribution research team and the representative projects undertaken by the laboratory in the past five years.

Then, he presented the current applications and existing problems of distributed energy in the UK, such as the impact of large-scale distributed energy grid connection on power quality and stable operation of the power grid.

Students actively participated in the Q&A session and expressed that they benefitted a lot from the lectures.
