Chongqing University and Yunnan Power Grid Signed Cooperation Agreement

On the morning of March 9th, Chongqing University and Yunnan Power Grid Co., Ltd. signed the “Agreement on Comprehensively Deepening Cooperation in the New Era” in Kunming. Shu Lichun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing University, Li Jian, Vice President, Liao Ruijin, former Vice President, Gan Lin, Chairman of Yunnan Power Grid, Zhang Zhongdong, General Manager and Jiang Bei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee attended the ceremony.

At the signing ceremony, Shu Lichun affirmed the deep cooperation between Chongqing University and Yunnan Power Grid, stressing the achievements in jointly promoting technological innovation and serving regional economic and social development. The signing of this agreement and the establishment of the Joint Research Center on New Electric Power System marks a deeper, more advanced and pragmatic cooperation between the two sides. It is hoped that the two sides will strengthen strategic coordination, deepen the cooperation in the field of electric power and energy, and jointly make greater contributions to the development of western China.

Gan Lin congratulated Chongqing University on its remarkable achievements and thanked Chongqing University for its continuous support of high-level talents to Yunnan Electric Power. It is hoped that the two sides will give full play to their respective advantages, further optimize the cooperation in science and technology, talent training, industry development, promote the implementation of projects and the transformation of achievements to realize “win-win” cooperation.

Li Jian, Vice President of Chongqing University, and Gao Mengping, Deputy General Manager of Yunnan Power Grid, signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides. Xie Kaigui, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering of Chongqing University, and Wu Bo, Chair of the Yunnan Power Grid Electric Power Research Institute, signed the “Joint Research Center Establishment Agreement”.

The two sides will take this as a new starting point to the new chapter of a high-level and long-term cooperative partnership.
